Description
In Greek myth, the Nereids were fifty sea-nymph sisters who dwelled in the ocean's depths and carried its light in their skin. This is the third and last sister, the keeper of the deeper water.
Born in the dark of the oyster, a pearl is the sea's quiet alchemy: a single grain of grit wrapped in light over years, until irritation becomes luminescence. This baroque pearl holds a fuller, deeper body, with shifting green-gold fire beneath her surface, the one that seems to remember the ocean's older secrets. She rests in a band of hand-formed gold, molten and organic, as though the metal pooled around her on the shore. A living moon for your hand. Being one of a kind, she'll keep only one wearer.

Pearls are among the most ancient and beloved gems in the world, and unique among gemstones as the only one created by a living creature. Legend holds that pearls are mermaids' tears, or dewdrops from the moon that fell into the sea. In Greek mythology, they were said to be tears of joy shed by Aphrodite, goddess of love. Long recognized as symbols of purity, pearls are believed to promote emotional balance, calm, and serenity, while encouraging spiritual growth, intuition, and inner wisdom.
Our Materials
Every Catori Life piece is ethically handcrafted in Santa Fe, New Mexico and New York City from 100% recycled metal. No newly mined metal, ever.
Bronze: 100% recycled, hand polished solid bronze
Sterling silver: recycled solid sterling silver. Some of our silver chains are rhodium plated to keep from tarnishing. Please be sure to see product details.
Gold: solid recycled 10k, 14k or 18k gold, SCS Global certified. Never plated or filled.
Nickel and allergen free. Where a chain or hook is gold fill or gold vermeil, we note it on the product.
Care: bronze and silver warm to a soft patina over time. Polish with a soft cloth to bring back the shine.
